Dr. Haider Asfoor Receives Honorary Lifetime Membership in the International General Chamber
The International General Chamber, headquartered in Russia, has granted Dr. Haider Asfoor, the head of the Zoroastrian representation in Iraq, honorary lifetime membership, as per the decision issued by the Chamber's presidency, numbered 0976/001-HM, dated April 15, 2025, in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the field of international relations and public diplomacy.
This international recognition comes in acknowledgment of Dr. Asfoor's distinguished efforts in promoting a culture of peace and mutual understanding among peoples and religions, which was highlighted during the approval of the 8th annual conference of the Chamber, held on December 17, 2024.
The International Chamber has praised Dr. Asfoor's efforts in defending human values, protecting religious beliefs and sites, combating extremism, and assisting those in need, in addition to his adoption of principled humanitarian positions that support dialogue and coexistence among cultures.
It is noted that this title is granted for life and confers on its holder all the rights and privileges associated with membership in the International General Chamber, which includes representatives from over 69 countries and 7 different religions, and is concerned with promoting cooperation among peoples and societal organizations around the world.
The certificate of honor was signed by Mr. Alexander Olshesky, head of the International General Chamber and member of the Senate of the Peoples of North Asia, confirming the importance of this international recognition and acknowledgment of the efforts made in serving global peace.
