

The fifth branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party receives a delegation from the Zoroastrian religious representation in Baghdad
Haval Azad Hamid Shafee, the head of the fifth branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, received a delegation from the Zoroastrian religious representation in Baghdad, led by Professor Haider Asfour and his accompanying delegation, on Sunday, May 11, 2026, at the branch office in Baghdad, in the presence of Haval Ali Ibrahim, head of the financial section, and a number of former members of the branch's working body.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint communication, and emphasized the importance of consolidating fraternal relations between different national and religious components, which contributes to consolidating the principles of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect in Kurdistan and Iraq.
The two parties during the visit stressed the need for continued dialogue and coordination between all societal and religious parties, which serves the unity of society and enhances a culture of tolerance and acceptance of the other, as basic pillars for building a cohesive society based on plurality and understanding.
