Zoroastrian Leader Dr. Haidar Asfoor Participates in Meeting with National Security Advisor, Praises Qasim Al-Arajy's Efforts in Promoting Peaceful Coexistence

The head of the Zoroastrian faith in Iraq, Dr. Haidar Asfoor, participated in a meeting held by National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Arajy today, Wednesday, with a selection of representatives from various religions and sects in Iraq, to discuss ways to enhance peaceful coexistence and consolidate national unity.

During his participation, Dr. Asfoor emphasized the importance of continuing such meetings that bring together various religious components, as they play a role in promoting dialogue and building bridges of trust and understanding among the Iraqi people.

The Zoroastrian leader expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of His Excellency National Security Advisor Mr. Al-Arajy in supporting initiatives for rapprochement between religions and consolidating values of tolerance, appreciating his keenness to involve all components in drawing the features of societal stability.

Dr. Asfoor also extended his thanks to the director of the Center for Sects and Religions, Professor Mahmoud Sudani, for his role in organizing meetings and enhancing communication channels between representatives of religions, which contributes to consolidating a culture of shared coexistence.

He stressed that the religious diversity in Iraq represents a great cultural and human wealth, requiring concerted efforts to preserve and enhance it, affirming the commitment of the Zoroastrian faith to support everything that enhances national unity and rejects hate speech.

The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing joint work between official institutions and representatives of religions, which enhances Iraq's stability and preserves its social fabric.
