The Zoroastrian Representative Office in Baghdad receives the Minority Affairs Officer at the Human Rights Commission The head of the Zoroastrian Representative Office in Baghdad, Dr. Haider Asfour, in the presence of the relations and media officer Mrs. Doha Marioush, today Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the Minority Affairs Officer at the Supreme Commission for Human Rights, Mr. Qais Ghaib Hussein, in an official visit to discuss the reality of minorities and strengthen frameworks of joint cooperation.

The head of the Zoroastrian Representative Office in Baghdad, Dr. Haider Asfour, in the presence of the relations and media officer Mrs. Doha Marioush, today Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the Minority Affairs Officer at the Supreme Commission for Human Rights, Mr. Qais Ghaib Hussein, received him in an official visit to discuss the reality of minorities and strengthen frameworks of joint cooperation.
The meeting covered an overview of issues related to religious and cultural pluralism, the importance of promoting concepts of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, alongside examining the Commission's role in protecting the rights of indigenous components and documenting their needs. Both parties affirmed at the end of the meeting the importance of continued coordination and joint work that contributes to supporting the principles of citizenship and enhancing human rights in Iraq.
