Zoroastrian Representation - The Main Office Participates in the Celebration of Honoring Iraq's Top Preparatory Students Under the Auspices of the United Nations Dr. Haidar Asfour, the head of the Zoroastrian Representation in Baghdad, participated today in a special celebration organized by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) to honor Iraq's top preparatory students. The event took place at the United Nations headquarters in the International Zone in Baghdad, under the auspices of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and head of UNAMI. The Zoroastrian Representation emphasized that its presence at this ceremony was to acknowledge the efforts of outstanding students who represent Iraq's true wealth and a message of hope for a future based on science and knowledge. They stressed that supporting outstanding students from various components solidifies the values of coexistence and enhances national unity. In the same context, a gift was presented to Mr. Mohamed ElHassan, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and head of UNAMI, which included coins representing Iraq's history, alongside a book published by the Representation last Monday. The Representation praised the United Nations' initiative to honor top students, considering it an important step in encouraging young people to strive for excellence and creativity.
