The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights met with the head of the Zoroastrian Representation, Mr. Haider Asfour, in Baghdad, as part of his visit to assess human rights in Iraq. The two sides discussed several issues related to the rights of the Zoroastrian component and its representation in parliament. Mr. Asfour presented the High Commissioner with a set of recommendations and guidelines for the state's relationship with the Zoroastrian component, as well as the UN's relationship with it.
