Professor Kais Hussein, responsible for the file of minorities in the Human Rights Commission, visited this Tuesday morning the Zoroastrian representation in Baghdad, accompanied by a delegation from the Commission. He was received by Dr. Haider Asfour, head of the representation, and a number of members of the community, in addition to a civil and media activist.
The meeting witnessed a discussion of a number of important issues related to the rights of minorities and ways to enhance social coexistence, where Professor Kais praised the recent activities carried out by Dr. Haider Asfour, particularly in the symposium on Hussein, peace be upon him, a symbol of justice and reform in the conscience of humanity, which was attended by representatives of the Iraqi components in the Salman Al-Mohammadi shrine in the Dailan district, and his efforts in serving the Husseini processions.
The two parties emphasized the importance of continuing communication and cooperation that serves the rights of all components in Iraq, and enhancing the values of tolerance and mutual respect.
